Ever since I was a kid, I remember my friends having RC Cars, I would always ask my parents for one. My parents were broke and I could not buy one after all I was only 8 years old. Then finally after a year later with good grades they rewarded me with my first heads-up buggy during the holidays. I don't know if you remember this one or not but this was where the driver would turn his head in the direction he was driving. It was the best present I had ever received, especially being one of six siblings. It was nothing fancy, there was a cord that would connect to the transmitter to the buggy lol....But as a kid I loved that thing, I would run it charge after charge. Eventually the car broke somehow I do not remember because it was so long ago. My point is, the joy I felt as a kid to have an RC Car was something I would never forget!
Many years later I saw my neighbor (a grown up...) with an RC helicopter. So it was just awesome and that made me want one. So I started looking for my own RC helicopter online and realized I would rather have a Monster Truck. After further research I noticed that there were many web-sites that carried RC cars, trucks and planes and a light went off in my head that said start your own business!
After a few months here we are SelectRC.com which I and my entire staff are loyal and dedicated to making sure we succeed. I wanted to give back to the kids by carrying name brands that are competitively priced so they can receive the joy and satisfaction I did when I was young.
In 2010 we plan to expand and have RC Birthday parties for kids 8 and older, where we would supply Traxxas Slash 1/16 -1/10 scale and build a track of the customers choice in their own back yard.
Folks I am not here to make a million dollars but simply here to grow the hobby and give back to the kids something they will always remember. We also really encourage you to support your local hobby shop. But if its more convenient to shop online from home then hopefully you will choose us.
